Hi!
I'm very agree with your list but I think that Infusion d'Iris should leave it and I add Meditarreno from Antonio Banderas, it smelled very well and is very fresh too, I think is very useful for every moment of the day.

If you want you can find more information on http://antoniobanderasfragrances.com/microsites/fragancia_1_home.php

My best regards and follow that way!

Thanks, Marina. L'Occitane is generally a favorite brand in our house anyhow (one peek at our bathroom shelves would reveal that) but Mr. Katie seemed to really cotton to the Eau des Baux frag in particular.

Aw, I'm flattered perfumequeen. Thanks so much!

Robin, I still need to try the geranium window cleaner, but I'm really liking both the all purpose cleaner and the counter spray they make. Happy 2008 to you and yours :)

Victoria, I love yours too, and the way you organized it - it makes for a very thoughtful and happily arcane list of new finds.

Amy K, I honestly don't smell Angel around much these days. It seems more like folks are either using that one so judiciously I don't notice it much, or else maybe everyone has realized what a wallop it packs finally. Don't you kind of secretly hope that with all these iris scents coming out that they'll usher in an era of orris sillage for a nice while?

Flora - HA! I didn't even notice that! I was so distracted by the music and the oddly sweeping movement that I completely missed the models who were wearing the jeans! Which was the point of the ad! Hee. They DO look alike. I've not spotted the Givenchy reissues in the shops locally either, but I have a hunch it'll be like their Millesime editions, where we in Pacific NW see them a good nine months after everyone else on the east coast has already had shelves stocked with the bottles.

Victoria O, I haven't tried the lavender dishsoap at all. I'll have to remember that. I finally found one that didn't dry my hands out (Seventh Generation) and have been so in love with it that I stopped even looking at anything else. I'll have to try that Mrs. Meyers stuff out now, too, thanks.

Sali, I would love to trade with you. Of course the grass is always greener on the other side, but I think I could take an onslaught of Prada and Michael sillage for while, instead of all these super watery fruity-florals I keep running into in Portland. Hope your 2008 is just swell, and that your hard work and success continue to pay off for you :)

Angela, thank you, I should have known you'd be jazzed about the reissued fragrances, too! :) Hope your new year goes wonderfully.

David, heh, well, back in shabby form, and rather itinerantly, too, so to speak, but yes, back again. Happy New Year to you, and continued good luck to you.

I've missed your writing so much! Thanks for the post today. I second your nominations of Mrs. Meyer's geranium products (love them) and the Givenchy relaunches (especially Givenchy III). Must try the tweezers, too.

Happy New Year, dear Katie! While I understand your disdain for fruity florals (since so many of them are either generic or awful), here where I live, I'm sick of smelling either Prada or Michael. I don't suppose anyone here would like to join me on a no-patch in '08 campaign. Rock on, Scentzilla--May your '08 be fabulous--xo

I'm quite a Mrs. Meyers fan too. I love the lavender dishsoap, which isn't your typical lavender, very delightful.
Happy New Year!

LOL - as usual, your selections are fun and off-kilter. I had not seen the Old Navy as but it is cute. However, as Amy K says, how do you tell the three "new cuts" apart when the models are cookie-cutter?

I was really hoping to see the reissued Givenchys in my local stores, but I have not seen anyting yet. I really want to try the Insense' and Le De.

And just in time for New Year's Eve - the perfume drinking game! Gotta love it!

Nice list! I'm going to have to find a pair (or 10) of those tweezers. We both had the same reaction to Infusion d'Iris - it's what I'd love to smell on others in an office or on a bus instead of Angel or Pink Sugar.

I looked at the Old Navy commercial, and realized that I'd seen it a hundred times but mostly tuned the song out because I was too busy laughing at how the "three new cuts" of skinny jeans look totally identical on the three slender models with the same body type. The song is nice.

Katie, I love your list! Witty and unconventional, as always. I have to try that L'Occitane at last.

Perfume Advertising Bingo -- perfect, K! And I'm off to get myself some Meyer's Geranium, that sounds lovely.
