Tania, I take much inspiration from your writing, so right back at ya!

Bee, just don't try the Lash-In-A-Tube though, okay? Heh. The Retro-Glow is pretty awesome, and cheap enough to risk experimentation.

Calivalleygirl, I knew you'd love it! I don't know about Great Lash, though, hee. But if it works, it works!

Ylva, I am not sure if its a line that's only in the States or not... I dimly recall reading somewhere or another that it's not available in Canada, either. I just really like it because if I'm getting it on sale or on a coupon I can usually get it for around five dollars, which ain't bad at all :) Another mascara post will be forthcoming sometime during this month, too, and hopefully there will some brands that are slightly more global!

Hi Katie,
I don't think we can get Physicians Formula here (see me pouting), but I do have to do some google search. I know exactely what I want from a mascara ;-) but very seldom finds THE ultimate one. I used to love Lancome's mascaras, did try the Lash Queen by HR, Maybelline and Loreal sucks (oups). Ack ack, I wanna get my hands on one of these Physicians miracles...
Have a lovely weekend :-D

The Brains are loving May Mascara Month!

Check out our contribution that describes the ingredients in a mascara and how they work.

March, most of the primers I've tried do differ a bit from clear mascara - they're much more like, uh, elmer's glue, and they're a bit thicker and stickier than clear. I can't for the life of me figure out the hubbub about Great Lash. I mean, it's not gawd-awful, but it's not so great. It's Adequate Lash. Overhyped mediocrity. What's crazy is Maybelline does and has made some really great mascaras that are both cheaper and better in quality, like their Full 'N Soft.

LotionBarBunny, I like to reciprocate links, and I will add you to my blogroll when I have a second (I tend to end up doing updates in big batches for some reason.)Thanks for stopping by - I really have been enjoying these mascara posts from all over the different blogs, too :)

Howdy Elke! In truth, it's not EXACTLY false lashes, just as close I have ever come with a mascara to the look. Man, I remember the Aquacils - it was one of the few Lancome mascaras I really really liked. I know folks like some of the others they make, but I just haven't liked them as well, sadly.

V - sorry about that! TC makes me laugh, I guess, but I am not intending to torture you with him. I would never go to the trouble of sawing off the ends of a brush that's too long, though, wow. Too much trouble. It's way easier to just use my own spoolie and be done with it.

sybil - I love Target. I mean I really love Target, much to my wallet's chagrin. I don't know if you have a Krogers grocery chain near you, but I get the Retro-Glow line on some really great sales there.

kuri - Oh! I only checked the US Sui site that's in English. That's great news, because if I need to replace any of my spoolies, I'm just going to buy that one again. Too bad about the moisturizing stick - that is such a nice product. The Sui stuff is so painfully adorable. I even love the Sui hairbrush too, but I always use chunky combs for my hair instead and I know I just would never use it. It'd be wasted money.

Lemmmmmmmings! Yay, more Shu Uemura stuff to buy! And you may be mollified to know that Anna Sui's Japanese site still lists the eyebrow brush #1, so she might still make it. I'll have to pick it up. Even though they don't carry that darn face/lip treatment in Japan...
For some reason I love beauty tools even though I can't use them. :P
