Busylizzie, alas, with Canada especially there are customs difficulties with shipping perfume. However, if I do a give away with lotions or oils or soaps, do enter those, since they are not as strict on the shipment of those. I’m so sorry! It’s a bummer, since you’re not so far away at all in Canada.

Jenny, the Calkins and Jellinek book is another great one! Of course, once again I must admit that the more technical aspects of the book go right over my head, but their discussions of some of the great and/or interesting fragrances and their construction made for some great reading, I think, for folks like myself who are simply enthusiasts rather than perfumers like yourself.

I love the book The Chemistry of Fragrances too. I’ve got it from the library. Another book that’s interesting and easy to read is Perfumery practice and principles by Robert R.Calkin and J.Stephan Jellinek.

Robin, I think you would likely get much more out it, than I, to tell you the truth. You might check a library for it, though mine sadly didn’t have it :( Still worth the purchase price though!

Howdy there Lisa and Anne! Nice to ’see’ you! It’s okay to lurk, too - I do the same thing on some sites, ’cause who doesn’t like to read! Anne, actually, Halston isn’t so bad at all - heh, I’m rather fond of Halston’s Catalyst, to tell you the truth. There’s nothing bad about those choices, either! I’m just fairly polyamorous with my perfume love ;) There’s just no fun in picking only one scent to wear and not smelling them all!
